Along a forested gorge peppered with dovecotes and caves,


women scorched cheese stuffed pita bread over an open fire. I ate them reclining on cushions, under the woven roof of a cabana over the river. Chairs and logs on which to cool down sat in the water.


I picked wild blackberries along the track for dessert.
